The 4th Advisory Board Meeting of the Consortium of Nationation Law Universities with Justice Indu Malhotra as Chairperson resolved to form a Committee of Independent Academic Experts to suggest medium and long-term reforms to the UG and PG Common Law Admission Test to be implemented from CLAT 2027.
The duly constituted Expert Committee includes the following members:
- Prof. Dev Saif Gangjee, Professor of Law, St. Hilda’s College, University of Oxford (Co-Chair)
- Prof. Tarunabh Khaitan, Professor of Public Law, LSE School of Law (Co-Chair)
- Prof. Shyamkrishna Balganesh, Sol Goldman Professor of Law, Columbia Law School
- Prof. Pritam Baruah, Professor and Dean, School of Law, BML Munjal University
- Prof. Surabhi Ranganathan, Professor of International Law, University of Cambridge
The Advisory Board has framed the Terms of Reference for the Committee as follows:
- Question quality;
- The structure of the paper;
- The syllabus for the Entrance Examination;
- Review comparable entrance examinations like LSAT and LNAT in the US and UK respectively.
To enhance participation and public consultation, the Committee invites suggestions, comments and feedback from interested members of the general public, using the Google Form. [Feedback relating to the terms of reference above are especially welcomed.
